Teachscape provides a range of solutions that meet the legislative requirements of NCLB Title I, Part A. Our Title I services help teachers of Title I students learn and apply research-based instructional strategies in the English/language arts and mathematics classroom that improve student achievement.
Teachscape's Title I services include:
- Title I, Section 1003(g) School Improvement Solutions
- Targeted Reading and Mathematics Professional Development for Title I Teachers
- Title I Nonpublic Reading and Mathematics Professional Development
Teachscape partners with schools in improvement, corrective action, or restructuring to implement research-based school improvement strategies that build school-level capacity to improve student achievement and make adequate yearly progress (AYP). Our Title I School Improvement Solutions help school staff and leaders change instructional practice to adopt research-based instructional strategies so that student scores go up and schools exit improvement status. Our capacity-building services meet the legislative requirements of ESEA Title I, section 1003(g) and have already been implemented successfully to help schools in Michigan, Washington, and Florida achieve necessary improvements in student achievement. Teachscape Title I School Improvement solutions combine:
- Customized professional development for school leaders and teachers of Title I students to help theS use data to understand student needs, and deliver differentiated instruction that enable all students to meet proficiency standards
- Research-based instructional strategies so that teachers and leaders can replace ineffective instructional practices with high yield instructional strategies that result in faster gains in student achievement
- Capacity-building leadership development for administrators and teacher leaders including classroom observational tools to help the school-based leadership team cultivate and maintain a community of reflective practice focused on using data and effective instruction to improve student achievement
In order to raise achievement for Title I students and close the achievement gap, teachers must have deep content knowledge in reading and mathematics and a thorough mastery of effective instructional strategies that can help make challenging academic content accessible to all students. Teachscape partners with school districts to provide high quality, research-based professional development in reading and mathematics. Through seminars, online learning, and at-elbow coaching, Teachscape enables teachers to learn new effective instructional strategies, deepen their subject-matter knowledge, and apply new knowledge and skills in reading and mathematics classrooms to improve student learning. Teachers learn to gather and analyze multiple forms of student assessment data to understand student learning needs and plan differentiated instruction to meet those needs. Title I Professional Development Services include:

- Online Professional Learning Resources in Literacy and Mathematics Content and Pedagogy
- Coaching for Reading and Mathematics Teachers to Apply Research-Based Strategies in the Classroom
Teachscape works successfully in partnership with school districts and nonpublic schools to provide Reading and mathematics coaching and professional development for the teachers of Title I students. Our Title I Nonpublic Services help teachers of Title I students enrolled in nonpublic schools to hone in on the specific learning needs of their Title I students and design and deliver instruction that meets those needs. Our approach helps reading and mathematics teachers by deepening their content knowledge and helping them integrate research-based instructional strategies into everyday teaching.
