Early Childhood Progress Monitoring
Instructional Improvement. In Early Childhood.
Teaching is a complex process, and Pre-Kindergarten is no exception. Effective teachers must be mindful of what they expect their students to learn. They develop appropriate lessons and activities, assess student performance, and adjust their practices to meet the needs of their students. By following this circle of inquiry, teachers and administrators can improve instruction to increase achievement in measurable and predictable ways.
Teachscape connects the work that teachers engage in, from curriculum and instruction to assessment. Teachscape provides districts and early childhood centers with the Teachscape Curriculum and Assessment Suite, a web-based system for administering C-PALLS assessments and early childhood activities. Teachscape also provides professional learning resources and services to help teachers become more effective.
The Teachscape Curriculum and Assessment Suite enables teachers to view the state Pre-K guidelines, develop and share lessons, administer C-PALLS assessments, and analyze student performance. To address specific skill gaps, the system automatically recommends lessons and activities created by districts participating in the network. Teachers can view and print these learning activities that are targeted to specific groups of students. In addition, teachers have access to high quality resources and videos for professional learning based on their individual needs.

- Alignment and Pacing of state Pre-K guidelines
- Sharing of lessons and professional learning resources
- Administration of Pre-K as ses sment s
- Learning profiles of student, class, school, and district assessments

- Analyze student outcomes on C-PALLS assessments as well as classroom-based observational data
The Classroom Walkthrough Suite provides tools for analyzing high-yield instructional strategies that teachers use within the classroom. These tools include classroom observation protocols that enable teachers and administrators to understand how their strategies measure up against research to evaluate their impact on student performance.
